New physician to care for high-risk pregnancies

ANCHORAGE, AK – Corinna Muller, DO, has joined the Providence Maternal-Fetal Medicine Clinic, which specializes in providing care for women experiencing high-risk pregnancies.

Dr. Muller is one of just four physicians in Alaska who specialize in maternal-fetal medicine. Her expertise includes diagnosis of fetal abnormalities by ultrasound and caring for women expecting multiple births during one pregnancy. She was a 2010-2011 research grant award winner from the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians & Gynecologists for her work investigating kidney damage during pregnancy.
“Dr. Muller brings exceptional skills in coordinating high-risk pregnancy management with obstetrical and neonatology care teams,” says Tom Hunt, MD, chief executive of the Providence Physician Services Organization, which oversees the clinic.
Dr. Muller was born and raised in Eagle River. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine from Geisinger Medical Center, one of the nation’s most highly respected health systems.
“I am privileged to serve my fellow Alaskans,” says Dr. Muller. “I am honored to help fill this need in our community.”
