Padade Vue, M.D., joins Providence Medical Group Pediatric Gastroenterology
Dr. Vue specializes in caring for pediatric patients with gastrointestinal disorders
ANCHORAGE, AK –
Padade Vue, M.D., has joined Providence Medical Group
Pediatric Gastroenterology. Dr. Vue is skilled in caring for pediatric patients with gastrointestinal disorders, including short bowel syndrome, general gastroenterology, pediatric endoscopy, pediatric pancreatitis and parenteral nutrition associated liver disease.
Dr. Vue, a Denver native, earned her doctorate from the Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. She completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Aurora, Colo., and then was a pediatric gastroenterology fellow at the university, completing her fellowship in 2014. Dr. Vue, who is fluent in Hmong, was one of five people who started the Diversity in Pediatrics Committee at the University of Colorado, helping increase diversity in the residency program. Additionally, her research in parenteral nutrition associated liver disease was accepted for an oral presentation at American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases and Pediatric Academic Society's annual meetings.
"I was inspired to become a doctor when a family member was very sick with a chronic disease. I wanted to be part of the medical team that provided expert care with the latest medical therapy and technology while also treating the patient with respect and empathy," said Dr. Vue. "I love being able to watch my patients grow up. Pediatric GI allows me to help patients of all ages who have a variety of illnesses from constipation to chronic illnesses like inflammatory bowel disease."
Providence Medical Group Pediatric Gastroenterology is devoted to disorders of the gastrointestinal tract and the liver as they affect children, from birth through adolescence, including diagnosis and management of abdominal pain, reflux, chronic digestive problems, upper and lower endoscopy and liver biopsy.
